There is a lullaby in Spanish-speaking countries that says, “Sleep, my dear, sleep now, for if you don’t, the Coco (which is a monster) will come and eat you”. I found this threatened, so I changed the lyrics to “Sleep, my dear, sleep now, because Coco will take care of you”.
El Coco is a little monster, hand-made out of old T-shirts, with one big and one small eye and a fluorescent heart. It comes inside a cardboard box, which can be converted into a bed by following the instructions. Each Coco is unique, as are its pillow and blanket.
